Research Associate/Senior Research Associate, Microfluidics

Ohana Biosciences is seeking an innovative and highly motivated Research Associate/Senior Research Associate with expertise in cell biology and flow cytometry to play a vital role in the company’s efforts to drive innovation in the field of reproductive health. Experience with microscopy and microfluidics is a plus. As a member of our dynamic organization, the RA/SRA will have wide-ranging responsibilities and tremendous opportunities within an enthusiastic, highly interdisciplinary, and collaborative team.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a key contributor to the development of new technologies in reproductive health

  • Perform microfluidic and flow cytometry analysis as well as in vitro cell-based assays

  • Keep accurate and detailed records of experiments and results in experimental notebooks

  • Participate in and present experimental results at team and company meetings

What Skills You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a molecular/cell biology, biotechnology, or related field (biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, protein sciences, or bio-engineering)

  • One to five years of lab experience, preferably in bio-pharmaceutical industry

  • Proven hands-on experience with cell-based and biochemical assays with a variety of readout technologies, such as flow cytometry, ELISA, and immunofluorescence

  • Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary environment

  • High level of adaptability and responsiveness to technical and business opportunities and needs

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Highly motivated and excited about new technology development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with handling and designing microfluidic devices is a plus

  • Experience working with sperm is desired

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment

  • Ability to think critically and creatively as part of a fast-paced research team, while being highly independent and self-motivated

  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills
