Senior Research Associate, Antibody Therapeutic

Ohana is seeking an innovative and highly motivated Senior Research Associate with expertise in cell and molecular biology and assay development to play a vital role in the company’s efforts to advance the field of reproductive medicine. What You’ll Do

  • Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to design, plan and execute experiments that support research activities, project goals and platform development

  • Serve as a key contributor to the development of new technologies in reproductive medicine

  • Implement existing Ohana technologies and develop novel assays

What Skills You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a biological science or related science field. Candidates will have 3-5 years (Master’s) or 7-10 years (Bachelor’s) in the bio-pharmaceutical industry

  • Proven hands-on experience with cell-based and biochemical assays with a variety of readout technologies, such as flow cytometry, Western Blot, ELISA, and immunofluorescence

  • Hands-on experience in cell culture and characterization of cells from human and animal tissues

  • Experience with independently generating and analyzing data, including basic statistical analyses

  • Familiarity with binding assays (SPR or related techniques) to determine antibody affinity

  • Experience with transiently expressing recombinant proteins in HEK293 or CHO cells preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment

  • Strong work ethic and focus on execution

  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial and multidisciplinary environment

  • High level of adaptability and responsiveness to technical and business opportunities and needs

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to think critically and creatively as part of a fast-paced research team, while being highly independent and self-motivated
