Ohana is seeking an innovative and highly motivated Senior Research Associate with expertise in cell and molecular biology and assay development to play a vital role in the company’s efforts to advance the field of reproductive medicine. What You’ll Do
Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to design, plan and execute experiments that support research activities, project goals and platform development
Serve as a key contributor to the development of new technologies in reproductive medicine
Implement existing Ohana technologies and develop novel assays
What Skills You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a biological science or related science field. Candidates will have 3-5 years (Master’s) or 7-10 years (Bachelor’s) in the bio-pharmaceutical industry
Proven hands-on experience with cell-based and biochemical assays with a variety of readout technologies, such as flow cytometry, Western Blot, ELISA, and immunofluorescence
Hands-on experience in cell culture and characterization of cells from human and animal tissues
Experience with independently generating and analyzing data, including basic statistical analyses
Familiarity with binding assays (SPR or related techniques) to determine antibody affinity
Experience with transiently expressing recombinant proteins in HEK293 or CHO cells preferred
Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
Strong work ethic and focus on execution
Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial and multidisciplinary environment
High level of adaptability and responsiveness to technical and business opportunities and needs
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to think critically and creatively as part of a fast-paced research team, while being highly independent and self-motivated
